My Project
My goal is to instill a passion for reading in all students. My 6th and 7th grade boys are always hard to pair with books that excite them. These books will appeal to both diverse learners and reluctant readers in my classroom. Students will have easy access to interesting books during independent reading time. By choosing books of interest, students will gain new vocabulary and be able to see themselves in the pages as well. When students read for pleasure they gain so many skills that can be directly applied to lessons we are working on in class.
