it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever been a meeting listening to someone talk and realize that you literally did not comprehend what the person said? For many of my students with communication delays, this is an everyday, every hour occurrence. My students benefit from visual supports in every aspect of their school day, whether it's a visual schedule, behavior management cues, combining words together into sentences, or understanding verbal directions.
As a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with Chicago Public Schools, I manage a very large and diverse caseload of students ranging from preschool to 8th grade, with most of my students receiving special education services.
I primarily use my own income to provide learning materials for my students. For example, one of my Christmas presents this year was a color printer! My students needs are always on the forefront of my mind and I hope you can help me support those needs.
I am asking for gift cards for Teachers Pay Teachers where I can purchase materials made by other SLPs in order to support the areas listed above. I am also asking for printer ink (to use with my new printer!) and laminating sheets so I can print and prepare materials. My students and I deeply appreciate your contributions.
