This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For nearly my entire teaching career, I have served as a Special Education co-teacher. In this role, I worked as a Special Education teacher within a General Education classroom, supporting students with learning disabilities and Other Health Impairments.

This upcoming fall, I am stepping into a new role as an Elementary Special Education teacher in an Adaptive Instruction Program.

In this setting, most of my students will have moderate to severe disabilities. While I’m genuinely excited about this opportunity, I’ve come to realize that I need support in setting up my classroom with the appropriate materials and resources.

We need a rug and bean bags. Your donation will help create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel ready to learn and empowered to succeed. This is about believing in students who are often overlooked, and building a space where they feel seen, supported, and encouraged to do their best!
