Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I can already tell that my students are very creative and love to learn. I want to be able to provide them with lots of hands-on and engaging projects throughout this school year.
My class is composed of 14 second grade students.
It will be a challenge to keep them all engaged in appropriate activities. I know this year will be an amazing and fun-filled!
My Project
Since we are coming towards the second half of the year, we are running out of basic supplies needed in our classroom. These supplies help us to enrich our curriculum. This week, for example, we are celebrating Literacy Week. We are reading various chapter books, including Biblioburro written by Jeanette Winter and we are creating posters on the story. These supplies are needed to help my students learn and grow.
Often times my students do not have supplies needed to carry out certain activities in the classroom.
