This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My name is Ms. Zentil and I teach 3rd grade for LAUSD. Due to the pandemic and low socioeconomic factors, many of my students are struggling with reading and are far below their grade level. I'd like to inspire them to read more by creating a special reading nook in our classroom.
For that I'll need good quality picture books from authors of great renown, and contemporary books that inspire understanding of diversity of all kinds.
This special reading corner will be decorated with bean bags, cushions, great books to read OF COURSE, small rugs and stuffed animals. I would so much appreciate your generous donations!
