My Students

My students are the hardest workers I know! They work through adversities every day to make progress toward their goals. They love a space away from their general education classroom that is warm, welcoming, and is supplied with the extra tools they need to be successful.

My Project

The materials will be used to create a comfortable learning environment through flexible seating and lighting. A lot of my students receive text-to-speech accommodations so nice working headphones are essential. I share a classroom with two other special education teachers so having a room divider will help eliminate distractions while multiple groups are meeting at the same time. Teachers Pay Teachers has been such a great resource for Special Education teachers to find differentiated instructional materials. Our classroom shares a self-funded color printer that we use frequently to make colorful visuals for students.
