Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year has brought to my attention the need for multiple and varied opportunities for students to practice the content we are learning. These activities that I'm requesting funding for are ones which my students can do independently, allowing me to work with other students one on one or in a small group.

I teach at a Title I school in Phoenix, Arizona.

The COVID pandemic hit our community especially hard. Many of my students don't have items or activities at home to help them practice. The activities I'm requesting, such as matching a letter to a picture, or a numeral to a quantity, are crucial to reinforcing those initial literacy and number sense skills. Rhyming activities, and blending and writing cvc words, will also be beneficial.
