My Students

Nearly all of the students in our small school district come from low-income households. All students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. My students all have communication impairments; some have more severe disabilities which make communicating even more challenging.

Despite social, educational, and economic challenges, my students are eager to improve their communication skills!

Since we are faced with a very limited budget for even the most essential supplies, funding new materials, incentives, and supplies is even more limited.

My Project

This back to school wish list contains the basic items to keep the classroom healthy and rewarding for students. The Kleenex, Sanitizer, and Gloves will help keep the classroom healthy. Some of the new students need to identify basic foods, animals, insects, etc. The plastic toys will be used as manipulatives to help students label and sort items into different groups. The TPT gift card will be used to purchase digital and print materials to send to parents for home practice. When students are not able to come to my classroom, the rolling bag will help me transport speech therapy materials to and from different classrooms. Finally, the snack bags and food items will provide incentives for positive behavior throughout speech therapy sessions.
