This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Kindergarten teacher at a Title I school in Peoria, Arizona. Kindergarten is the most exciting time for my students and myself! This is a time we get to learn and grow together. Having those ah-ha moments and watching students begin to find who they are. I want to be able to give them a fun learning environment that will also help them get those wiggles out all while learning foundational skills that will help them be successful!

My Project

These flexible seating options will give my students the opportunity to choose out of the box seating options within the classroom. The wobble chair helps them develop their core while keeping their hips and core working to stay balanced. The balance balls help them to focus on practicing those balance skills all while learning to read and write. The wobble cushion allows students to sit comfortably on the ground while working on math or reading. Students will have the opportunity to use each type of flexible seating option making learning new and exciting each day. These seats also give those students who need extra stimulation the opportunity to continue to work successfully.
