This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first year teacher I have been amazed at how much I love my students. Coaching debate has given me a new outlook on how many of these kids live: with nothing. Giving them snacks and candy to have at long debate tournaments will help them be successful. Most of my students can't eat lunch because they can't afford it, so providing them with snacks will help them be able to focus on school work instead of their empty belly. To top it off, I want to give my students as many tools as possible to be successful like highlighters, pencils, and notebooks. I want to give these kids everything they need to be successful and to graduate!
