it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These diverse books will give my students a more diverse learning experience that I strive for in my teaching. As a first year teacher, I want to give my students as many resources as possible to make them feel safe, understood, and loved. Providing lamps with warm lighting in my classroom allows for students to feel more relaxed and perform better on assignments and tests.
Providing diverse books to students in school helps them to be better humans.
Students will get to choose books that interest them, which will hopefully get them to fall in love with reading. Most of my students do not have access to their own novels at home, so I want to give them the opportunity to "check-out" books to take home and read. I just want to give my students as many resources as possible to spark their own creativity.
