Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love being in groups of four in our classroom so they can collaborate and synergize. My scholars can explore the objective of the lesson and reinforce skills that have already been taught.

During center time, students are able to work on their communication skills and pace themselves while working with other students who are normally not in their academic level.

The ambiance of the room when working in groups is exceptional! My scholars feel at ease when working as a team and coming out with an end product.

My Project

The Early Math Instant Learning Center I am setting up in my classroom will help my students during the beginning of the year feel at ease and reinforce their math skills. My students will benefit from playing games through learning using the math folder game libraries.

Over the years my math manipulatives have diminished through student use.

I have requested unifix cubes and place value blocks to replenish these resources. I want to expand my classroom library and want to add comfortable seating for for classroom library time. In addition, the same goes for my student headphones they have fallen apart and I want to replace them.

My students love to engage in activities that provide them with colorful images that they can elaborate if they are unsure of the vocabulary. The Spanish-English activities that I am requesting will help them expand their vocabulary and master the lessons.
