Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every morning, I try to encourage a positive learning environment. Though some of my students arrive to school tardy without eating breakfast and or having the proper learning tools necessary to help with academic achievements. I would like to instill a love for reading.
A typical day in my school is always pretty usual.
The students come in and start their bell work. I have them write in their journals as well. There are a bunch of interesting little ones with different personalities. My student are mostly very happy with an eagerness to learn. They are very attentive to the lessons I engage them throughout the day. The school I teach at is a very diverse school with a broad range of a demographic population. It is really nice to see the diversity here. Also, it is pleasing how well the teachers work together to help each other out. Its' a friendly community that comes together like they do here.
My Project
My students need an iPad and keyboard case to help support learning. I plan to have my students use this technological resource to help them use the i-Ready program that can assist them make gains in reading and math. Some of my students do not have access to computers or the Internet from home, so I would like to make this possible. This technology, which will assist with remedial skills and as well as intervention in preventing further failure. This program provides the instructor with data to see and monitor the students progress as well as gains.
This project will help improve my classroom by providing accessibility for every students to get use of technology.
Living in a world wear technology changes so rapidly it is important for students to become familiar with the latest technological gadgets. Sometimes students families may not have the financial resources to equip them with technology. So my goal is to assist with this component in learning which is a state standard requirement. I hope this can assist with their studies.
