My Project

We are a Title I school district and are in a low-income area. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Each day, they come to school ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow personally and academically.

With this project providing snacks, such as the Mixed Snack Boxes, Variety Crackers, Teddy Grahams, the Soft Baked Fruit and Grain Bars, etc., the students will end able to better focus on learning in the classroom because they will not be distracted by their tummy's growling.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs shows that if students have unmet needs, they cannot focus as quickly or readily on the learning aspect of the classroom setting. We can better meet some of their physical and emotional needs by providing snacks. Students will have their needs met and be better prepared to learn essential life skills. They will also not be hungry when they go home at the end of the school day.
