Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students this year are true COVID students. They missed out on such core foundational learning. They missed kindergarten and first grade, last year was a semi-normal year and now they are in third grade with me.

I am focusing on bridging the learning gaps with hands-on manipulatives and fun classroom items to help them fall in love with coming to school and learning.

I have found that a majority of my students work best when having manipulatives to move around. The LED Lights, fidget toys, Picasso tiles, dominoes, and K'Nex will serve so many different purposes. The materials will bring much joy to the students along with helping the learning environment to be conducive to the process of learning.
