My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students love to read and want to read books in a literature book setting, but don't have the resources to do so.

My students are hard workers and excited to learn and read.

They are always having a good time and strive to do their best in all that they do. They want to better themselves in reading and comprehension and are frequently "caught" reading at times when they should be doing other lessons in the class. They also love to cozy up on the beanbags in our classroom library with a book.

My Project

These books would make a huge impact on my students. They would be able to read at least six chapter books throughout the year and do it in a literature circle setting. By doing this, they are not only reading famous authors and amazing books, but also focusing on language arts skills/standards such as predicting, vocabulary development, comprehension skills, and writing skills.

Who would want to deny students the opportunity to read great classics throughout their school year?

My students would love to read these books and to be able to read at least six chapter books a year from so many amazing authors. They will be able to also better their skills in writing, fluency, and comprehension.
