My Project

This school year, I am implementing a class economy system to run my classroom. Students will be able to earn "H-bucks" by making good choices, doing class jobs, making their reading goals, and more. The students will also pay rent for the different privileges they have in the classroom, and possibly fined for poor choices. At the end of each semester, I will hold a class auction where the students can spend the money they've earned on fidgets, games, and other desired toys. This is meant to teach students financial and personal responsibility. This auction rewards their efforts, helps motivate them to make positive choices, prioritize needs vs wants, and experience the outcomes of their different financial decisions. Donations to our auction help to reinforce these ultra-important life lessons in a fun and meaningful way.
