My Project
Hello, my name is Krystal, and I am excited to begin my first year as a lead kindergarten teacher after seven years of experience as a teacher assistant. I’ve learned that a well-organized, engaging classroom filled with meaningful materials helps young children thrive. The resources I’ve requested will directly support my students’ learning, creativity, and well-being.
The Crayola markers, Mr. Sketch markers, Flair pens, and glue sticks will be used daily during writing, art, and hands-on lessons.
These materials support fine motor development and encourage creativity through drawing and journaling. The laminator and pouches will help preserve learning materials like name tags, center instructions, and classroom visuals for long-term use.
To support early math and literacy skills, I’ve included the ten-frame set, alphabet bingo, and dice-in-dice math manipulatives. These tools allow students to explore numbers, letters, and problem-solving through play-based learning. The book It’s Okay to Not Be Okay will support social-emotional learning, helping children understand and express their feelings in healthy ways.
The rotating caddy, desk organizer, and file folders will help maintain an organized classroom environment, making supplies easy to access and reducing distractions. The cleaning supplies will ensure that our space is safe, sanitary, and ready for learning each day.
I also included healthy snacks and treats to ensure students have access to food during the day. These will be used as incentives and to support students who may come to school hungry.
Finally, the ergonomic teacher chair will allow me to comfortably support students in small groups and maintain focus throughout the day.
Each item in this project is intentionally selected to enhance instruction, support classroom management, and foster a joyful, productive space where my students can succeed.
