My Project
Students were universally affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but are starting to make a comeback. However, I see them light up every day at the prospect of getting to do something outside of their usual artwork. Every single teacher I discuss elective classes with has the same energy: excitement that students are getting to experience more of the world and learning. Art class has provided such an amazing outlet for students who may not otherwise get to challenge themselves and try out new skills. Some students didn't even know they enjoyed different art projects until they are exposed to it in my classroom. I hope to keep giving them the opportunity to find out more about who they want to be by making projects and materials available to them in Art class.
