My Project

I have always done my best to bring a wide selection of books to my class library. One area that has always been lacking has been nonfiction. This project includes lots of National Geographic titles and picture books that will help my budding readers learn more about the world around them.

Several of these books I've selected connect to second grade science and social studies standards.

There are titles about how seeds are spread, animals in various habitats, and the life cycles of plants and frogs, as well as books about earning, spending, and saving money.

My goal is to use these books to both supplement my lessons and to offer for personal choice reading in my class.
