Mr. S, We Need More Pickleball Gear!

Help me give my students assorted pickleball equipment to start with fresh paddle sports supplies!

My Project

I have been teaching for quite a few years now, and I recently have switched over to being the full-time physical education teacher at my school. With that being said, the only thing that has ever touched the floors of my gym is basketballs. While many of my students thoroughly enjoy basketball, since I am the new gym teacher, I am looking to put my own spin on the gym, with the guidance of my students.

When I asked my students what other things they would like to play and learn about during gym class, they resoundingly responded by saying “We have played ping pong our whole life, can we have school tournaments?”

"We should have Pickleball tournaments!"

"We should have badminton tournaments!"

To do this, we need nets and new supplies!

Most of my students have had encounters with paddle sports in school and through the youth centers, they frequent. With their input, we brainstormed an idea that we can shape the way our gym changes by starting with paddle sports as well as some resources to play and introduce ping pong to our whole school! Together we can make this happen!
