Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, I have decided to create a sports themed room. I developed strong connections with my upcoming students last year and I believe this theme will not only be enjoyed by the class, but will actually help create a fun learning environment for them.
My goal is to develop a classroom the students want to be in.
I have debated for months of how I am going to do so, and have officially decided to create a sports themed room. On top of this, I have also included classroom materials that will enhance their education. The double sided white board will be used for number talks to start my math lessons each day. I want a double sided board because it will allow my morning and afternoon class to compare their work and learn from one another. The classroom mailboxes will be used as an organizational tool to help separate each of the students belongings. The mechanical pencils will be used as a reward system for students that show responsibility with their belongings and allowing them a chance to earn the better pencil!
