My Project

In my Title I school I found that students became even more isolated from their peers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, I have found that my students are lacking in not just scientific discourse skills, but also in personal conversational skills. By providing them with a way to engage in scientific discourse while also giving them opportunities to converse socially, I hope to reverse the deficit I see.

Through working collaboratively as lab partners students can observe and learn about the natural world together, and by conversing they can deepen their understanding and rebuild the social skills they are lacking.
