Help me give my students an experience of reading leveled texts within the classroom on a variety of academic levels. Also, the students can learn responsibility by caring for the fish we select.

My Project

I teach in a low socio-economic area of Georgia. My students work hard to overcome some severe challenges. Homelessness, poverty, drugs are just a few of the circumstances the students are trying to overcome. The leveled readers will give my students the ability to read books on grade level as well as a grade level below to practice reading fluently based on his/her level. The aquarium will help teach students responsibility and we will be able to discuss the different types of aquatic animals we can add to the tank.
