My Project

The Cricut is an innovative tool that will be highly beneficial in my first-grade classroom at Washington Park Elementary School, an economically disadvantaged school. It will enhance my curriculum by allowing me to create various hands-on, engaging and customized learning materials. These materials can be accessible to my students at all times, as I will be able to customize what is needed immediately in the classroom. The visual aids and educational materials I will be able to create will allow me to cater to diverse learning needs and styles, support more inclusive and effective instruction including but not limited to fine motor skills, pattern recognition, cognitive development, and problem-solving abilities. I can design interactive lessons and learning stations that make abstract concepts more tangible and understandable for first grade students.

Given that this is a low-income school, I face significant challenges providing the necessary resources to support the needs of my students on a daily basis.

The Cricut is a one-time investment that will be a valuable asset in overcoming some of these challenges and will continue to provide long term benefits throughout the years. I am committed to ensuring that each child receives quality education and the opportunity to succeed in my classroom. I can spend more time focusing on instruction and individualized support by utilizing materials from my reusable resources that I created with the Cricut. This will make me an efficient educator as well as being able to provide the students with a vibrant and welcoming educational experience.

I truly believe that investing in a Cricut will have a lasting impact on the experiences I can offer my students for years to come. It will allow me to build a positive and stimulating classroom environment with so many opportunities.

Sincerely,

Andrew Engel
