My Project
I am a first-year 9th-grade global history teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School, the same school I attended as a student. As a first-generation college graduate currently pursuing my master’s degree, I understand the importance of hard work and the value of support. My students inspire me daily with their resilience, curiosity, and diverse perspectives. They are eager to learn and deserve an environment that nurtures both their academic and personal growth.
Snacks serve as a meaningful incentive in my classroom, helping students stay focused and motivated throughout the day.
Many of my students face challenges outside of school, and a small gesture like providing snacks can create a positive and supportive atmosphere, allowing them to concentrate better and engage fully in their learning. An Apple Pencil will transform the way I teach by making lessons more interactive and engaging. I can create detailed digital annotations, model skills like map analysis, and design visual aids in real time to help students grasp complex historical concepts.
This tool will allow me to adapt instruction to their needs and make learning more accessible and dynamic. My goal is to build a classroom environment that fosters curiosity and supports all learners. These resources will help me create a space where students feel valued, motivated, and ready to succeed.
