This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For our self-contained special education children, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards we are requesting would consist of a full year's worth of age-appropriate, multifaceted, interrelated science and social studies curriculum and other similar resources.
Our students are curious, inquisitive, and knowledge-seeking and deserve to have the best education we can provide.
More than 80% of the students at our inner-city school are below the poverty threshold. Our team pays for the majority of the resources needed because we think all of our kids should have equitable access to education, just as much as food, clothing, supplies, and other necessities. For our ninth through twelfth grade learners, these resources would open up a whole new world of experiential learning opportunities in science and social studies.
