My Students
I'm an 8th grade science teacher that would like to utilize this gift to support my unit in force and motion.
Eighth grade science students that have amazingly high achievement with amazingly few supplies.
These kids also are the group that will participate in the department of energy's science bowl. The student body is from a public school in Connecticut and we are eager to accept the gift of donation.
My Project
I hope to inspire a general love for science and the scientific method. In addition to supporting the general classroom, these supplies will also be utilized to support the science bowl. Students are exposed to all forms of science during their training for competition. I've selected many items that explore and demonstrate physical sciences that are quizzed in the Science bowl, and a portion of the 8th grade curriculum. These item include a density ball, friction apparatus', as well as gears to be used in building lithium ion driven cars. Well, I suppose this is not so much about inspiring anyone considering I already have the funding secured if the administration of this site would simply let the request go online. They seem to be indicating that I haven't properly inspired the donation cards that I already have in my possession.
These gifts are going to support my 8th grade classroom and the students that compete in the department of energy's science bowl competition.
