My Project
The items in this project will help my students easily move their desks across the classroom floor when it is time for small group work or activities. The students have nice, waxed floors in the classroom, and the students do not want to damage them because it takes away from warm, positive classroom environment. When students can easily move their desks across the classroom, it decreases the transition time as we move from whole group to small groups, which allows for more instructional time.
The students will definitely benefit from having more instructional time in the classroom.
The goal for this project is to reduce the amount of transition time in the classroom as we move from whole group to small group. These tennis balls will allow students to easily slide their desks from one place to another without having to pick them up and injuring themselves. With the ease of movement, more instructional time can be added back into the classroom because the transition time is decreased. My students are amazing, and I want them to be successful this year, so I want to make sure we protect their instructional time in the classroom.
