it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a Life Skills program and include learners with autism, intellectual disabilities, and physical or sensory needs. Movement is an important part of their day—it helps them regulate emotions, build coordination, and engage with peers in positive ways. Many of my students require adapted physical education tools to participate safely and meaningfully in activities.
This project will provide scooters for motor planning and fun movement, balance pods for coordination and core strength, and a bean bag toss game to practice teamwork, turn-taking, and hand-eye coordination.
These items will be used daily during sensory breaks and structured PE time. They are more than just games—they are powerful tools that build confidence, independence, and joy for students who often face challenges in typical PE settings. These tools will help build balance, coordination, and confidence through fun, inclusive movement.
