This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a deep passion for teaching kindergarten. I started my journey as a kindergarten teacher in Stockton, then moved to my hometown of Tracy, where I taught kindergarten for one year. After that, I decided to substitute for a year to complete assessments and requirements. After a year of subbing, I was hired as a kindergarten teacher, but two weeks before school started, I was switched to teach 5th grade.I absolutely love teaching 5th grade, and I've been doing so for the past six years. Every summer, I also teach kindergarten during summer school.

Now, the time has come, and a kindergarten position has opened at my school—the very school I love.

I’m excited to go back to where I belong: KINDERGARTEN! I am eager to rebuild a kindergarten class from the ground up, and I am looking forward to creating a loving and nurturing environment for my future little students.
