Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students’ curiosity, energy, and the joy they bring to learning each day. Their eagerness to share their thoughts, ask thoughtful questions, and explore new ideas with wonder makes our classroom a truly special place. Their hugs, laughter, and excitement over even the smallest things constantly remind me why I chose to be a teacher. To continue nurturing their love for learning, I would like to add cozy seating options and a fun, flexible desk chair that students can use for alternative seating during work time. I’m also hoping to introduce a jellyfish class pet and an Echo music device that I know will light up their faces and bring extra joy to our learning environment. Adding a color printer to our classroom would make a big impact as well—it would give students the opportunity to print their essays and class projects in full color, allowing them to take pride in their work and creativity. These additions will help create a warm, engaging, and inspiring space where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.
