Moving Through Play!

Help me give my students opportunities to move through play with pogo sticks, throwing targets, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles!

My Project

Every day, I get to teach and learn from my 85 preschool students! They are truly one-of-a-kind and I love spending my day with them. Their excitement and enthusiasm is refreshing! My students come to the gym daily, where I provided them with a variety of learning activities to help build and enhance their gross motor skills through movement and play.

The items I am requesting will help my students in several areas of gross-motor development.

The pogo sticks will get them moving and jumping all around our gym, while the turtle targets will allow them to practice their throwing, turn-taking, and addition skills. The gymnastic ribbons will keep them engaged and having fun during our music and movement time! My students would also be so excited to have sidewalk chalk and bubbles since the weather will be warming up soon and we will be able to be back outside!

My goals for this project are to keep my students engaged and motivated through movement and play. I want my students to be prepared for Kindergarten and feel confident that these new materials will give them opportunities to continue to grow and develop their gross-motor skills.
