This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions, and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities in our inclusion classroom.
They are active learners who need hands-on activities throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer bus services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. About 90% of my students come from low-income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need hands-on activities and a safe environment that allows them to focus and emerge as strong readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fills my day with their smiles, questions, and original ideas.
My Project
Mobile technology allows students to move through the class and continue learning instead of being assigned to just one place. Students get more engaged when they move and they can be in charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During small group work, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them, and being able to move our screen around the class could aid the learning process. Making sure students are comfortable and offer different spaces where they can learn with adequate technology is an essential component in motivating them.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work when they are able to pick the space where they want to work and simultaneously have the necessary technology handy.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them options by selecting the area where they would like to learn. The adjustable TV stand on wheels will allow students to take their learning around the class. In addition, the Teachers pay Teachers online learning resources will be beneficial for students to have additional and varied digital materials.
