This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a homeschool, hybrid charter school. They meet with me twice a week and then take what they have learned in the classroom and expand on it at home with their family. My students are passionate about science, history, art, math, reading, and writing. They love expressing themselves in many different ways. My students are very active, creative, and resourceful second and third graders.
My students are very inspiring young people that love to learn more about themselves and the amazing world around them!
They also love to keep busy and active both inside and outside of the classroom.
My students love to partner with me in order to have a voice in a choice in their learning. My school focuses on personalizing the learning of all our students and I love providing new and amazing opportunities for my students every day! Our classroom is made up of a community of learners who love to learn about themselves and explore new ideas. My students foster my own love of learning and always bring new ideas and projects into the classroom for us to study with each other.
My Project
I love to incorporate the outside into our classroom. This is even more important to me now that we must wear face masks in our classroom. I want to provide more opportunities for my students to take their learning outside. We have the whiteboards, clipboards, markers, and pencils to make it happen and a new iPad is on the way for the class but I would love a brand new iPad that I can use as the teacher to play music, watch videos, take pictures of student A-HA moments, and even record our observations.
I want my students to feel healthy and happy at school and I know opening up our classroom to the outside will make a BIG difference!
Please help provide me the opportunity to make our whole classroom flexible by being able to take ALL our lessons outside whenever we can. Writing, math, reading, science, history, and art can happen outside with the right tools!
