My Project
My students are bright, imaginative, and full of energy—but like many children today, they also carry stress and big emotions that can impact their learning and focus. I want to create a classroom where movement, fun, and connection are woven into our daily mental health routines.
This project will bring in a variety of engaging tools including a bowling set, giant Connect 4, card games, corn hole, therapy balls, double dutch jump ropes, and a portable Bluetooth speaker.
These resources will allow students to participate in meaningful brain breaks, calm-down corners, and team-building games. Also storage bins to keep these items protected and sorted neatly, for future use.
We’ll use these items to encourage cooperation, release stress, and teach self-regulation skills through structured movement and play. The portable speaker will help us set the mood with calming or energizing music depending on our needs.
