My students need Tinkling Poles, Hula Hoops, an activity CD, and beanbags in order to experience the fun, excitement, and fitness that rhythmic movement will provide during recess and music class.

I teach Music to students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade at a High Poverty, Title I Charter School.
I also monitor recess for fourth and fifth graders. Many days, weather does not allow us to take students outside and we only have use of half of our Multi-Purpose Room due to lunches on the other side. The space is too small for free play and we don't have the resources available for organized games, so students often end up playing boardgames in their rooms.
We really need fitness equipment to help our students enjoy movement, music, and fun when we are stuck inside. The items that I have requested can also be used in the Music classroom to help build coordination, listening skills, and rhythmic timing through dance and games. All of my students, no matter what grade they are in, will have access to these items to get them up and moving.
