My students are a group of International Baccalaureate learners who have a tremendous amount of energy & enthusiasm. They absolutely love to move, wiggle, bounce and dance. Many of them are being raised by a single parent or grandparent and receive free or reduced school meals.
I often joke that from the moment they enter the room they are little energizer-like bunnies...they keep going, and going, and going!
I admire their energy and their love of reading, writing and digging into history. Many are very serious inquirers who enjoy searching for answers to their questions and sharing the new knowledge with their peers.
My Project
Moving is essential, this we all know. However, the reality is that many of my students don't get the necessary physical activity they require to be as healthy as they can be. The Fitter Sitter & Sitting Stepper in our classroom will allow my children to get that physical activity they normally wouldn't get while learning at the same time. It's a Win, Win situation!!
The Fitter Sitter & Sitting Stepper are simple products with vast benefits for my regular students as well as those with ADHD who tend to struggle with self-management and focus.
Having these products available in my classroom will enable a sense of renewed focus for those students who need it the most!
