Help me give my students flexible seating to promote student choice and enhance learning.

My Students
My students are a group of eager and excited five-year-olds, who come to school happy and ready to learn. They love to work with their hands to create, build, and explore the world around them. Our school is a Title I school, and many of our students come from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs.
While the current demands of Kindergarten are rigorous, we are fortunate that TK allows us to blend appropriate academic skills to prepare students, while also creating opportunities to engage in learning through play and exploration.
My Project
These alternative seating options will give students the power to choose, increasing their participation and engagement in the classroom. When students are uncomfortable, they are distracted. Giving them control over their surroundings adds to their sense of well-being and improving their ability to stay focused and on task.
As I try to reach the different needs of learners, flexible seating is another way to focus on the differences in how students learn...or in this case, how they position themselves to learn.
For some students, traditional tables and chairs work best. For others, it means wiggling and moving while they learn.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
