My Students

I am entering my 14th year of teaching and I have loved every minute of it. There are wonderful days and there are challenging days. However, my passion for teaching hasn't changed.

The smiles, the laughs, the light bulb moments are all signs of a happy and growing leader.

My classroom is full of eager leaders. My leaders are exceptional. They come to school to learn, play, and create. My leaders' needs vary in severity and area. They may have behavioral needs, academic needs, and/or social needs; each as unique as the individual learner. However, their ambitions and desires are no different than their typical peers. Please join me in supporting our future leaders!

My Project

My students are always moving! They love going to the "exercise bikes" to let loose some of that energy when they need a break. I wish there was a way to be able to transform these exercise bikes into a workstation. It may sound easy but the tables we have don't fit the equipment. The students are either banging their knees on the table because the tables are too low or they are getting in the way of another student's leg space. We have 3 of these exercise bikes (DeskCycle pedal bikes) that were donated from a previous project here on DonorsChoose.org. And after further investigation I found this portable fitness desk I think will work!

I am requesting one portable table/desk so my students can have a work station where they can also pedal on the the exercise bikes.

This will help them focus, get the wiggles out, and release their energy so that they will be more productive and attentive in the classroom.
