Moving and Grooving Into Reading

My students need alternative seating options such as Wobble stools, kneeling pads, balance disc, and stretch bands to allow them the ability to move while learning.

My Students

Our third grade ELA classroom is one that will challenge students to achieve at levels they didn't think possible. Students will be challenged to take their learning into their own hands and to teach each other whenever possible.

Each day my students come to school excited about becoming better readers.Although my students are eager to learn, their little bodies are not made to sit still.

My students are very active and need movement in order to be successful. I would love to be able to provide my students with the resources needed to provided movement during instructional time.

My Project

Instruction does not always allow for students to be as active as they need. Many of my students need to move in order to work and learn at their best. My students would benefit from having flexible seating options that would allow them movement opportunities during instruction and work periods. Having wobble stools, stretch bands, and balance discs will allow my students the ability to move while remaining focused on their instruction and work.

Many of my students prefer to do their work while kneeling, standing, or laying on the floor.

Flexible seating options like the kneeling pads will allow my students to complete their work without having to remain in their seats.
