This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My student all have an eager desire to learn science and are constantly trying to figure out the new concepts and apply them. They are fun, spontaneous, and curious students that have a drive for understanding. They come from a variety of backgrounds, some more difficult than most. Regardless, they come in excited to learn and make connections.
Most of my students have not had a lot of science experiences in their elementary schools so my class is their first "real" science class.
The goal for all of us is to create a love and understanding for science and all that it attributes to. We are a highly interactive classroom that LOVES hands-on labs and activities.
My Project
These materials will help students focus in class in a non-disruptive way. Students will be allowed the freedom to choose alternative seating as well in our very crowded classroom. These materials are more focused on our note-taking or activities in which they need to remain seated. Many of our students need movement and these seating options will allow them to move without disruption. This will increase their focus and overall academic success. My goal is to provide the best education for my students and my only struggle is with movement seating. This project will open up new and improved opportunities for student movement and focus.
