All of my students need individualized instruction in social skills in order for them to be successful in school, at home, and in life.
My dynamic group of students has diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Each student in my classroom is very unique and requires individualized support and resources. However, all of my students require instruction in social skills. Teaching students social skills allow them to learn strategies to manage frustration, make and maintain friendships, manage emotions, and accept help and support from others. My Project
Movement Matters! These sensory wiggle seats are a much needed tool in our self-contained special education classrooms. We currently only have one of these chairs and many students who need to use them. We need more options for students to move their body in class. These chairs allow them to safely move their body while working at their desk and remain focused. These wiggle seats will allow students to meet their sensory needs without disrupting their learning and the learning of others. Additional flexible seating options will greatly benefit our class.
