Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love to provide a walking pad and standing treadmill for my students in order to help them not only improve physical health, but help them focus on tasks while being able to move!
I believe students should have opportunities to move their bodies at school more frequently then during PE and recess.
Light physical activity like walking can enhance alertness and concentration, especially in students with attention challenges. In addition, it increases blood flow to the brain, supporting better memory retention and cognitive function. Alternating between sitting, standing, and walking helps reduce boredom and mental exhaustion during long lessons or work sessions.
