Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students need opportunities to move in the classroom, without disrupting the learning of themselves or others. These chairs offer students the movement they need to focus on building their foundational math and ELA skills. This is especially beneficial for students with Autism or ADHD. Currently I have two of these chairs, and my students arrive to class early so that they have the opportunity to use one while learning and having two more would help more students with movement needs to focus on their learning.
What makes my students special is their desire to learn and apply the skills they learn to everyday situations.
Number lines on whiteboards offer students the manipulatives to engage in their learning in an interactive way.
