This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Due to no budget for the indoors, it's not easy to improve the music area. Additional music that encourages movement and instruments that promote music and beat is what my children are asking for.
The children of my classroom come from low income families who depend on our services while they are at work.
Many of the families work up to two jobs and have no extra time to work with their children when they get home for their long day. Most have no instruments in their home.
My Project
The new music CDs and instruments will introduce the children to a new learning environment. The children will have enough instruments to start a music band and have music to dance and move to. The children will also be encouraged to be creative with their dance moves.
These new additions to the music area will allow the children to experiment with the different sounds the instruments make.
The instruments will also extend their understanding of the music world. Music is good for the body and soul
