My Project
Music is a powerful tool for learning and development. It has therapeutic qualities that can reduce stress and anxiety providing an outlet for emotional exploration. To fully harness the benefits of healing the traumas of my students who live in an area of high crime and violence I would love to be equipped with a blue tooth speaker to fill the gym with sound as we let it all go and live in the moment. As the school counselor I plan to organize group activities centered around music to strengthen the social bonds of those students who have experience trauma.
