This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 6th–8th grade students are curious, creative, and eager to explore new learning methods. Although our school is a Title One school, many students face financial challenges, but that doesn’t stop them from dreaming big. I want to bring virtual reality into our STEM Center to give them an exciting way to stay active while learning about sports, science, and movement.

Requesting two Meta Quest VR headsets to provide students hands-on experience connecting fitness, sports, and technology.

Housed in our STEM Center, these headsets will be available during Makerspace and lunchtime. They will allow students to engage in interactive sports training, improve coordination and endurance, and explore the science behind movement. Whether practicing agility in a virtual basketball drill or studying biomechanics through immersive activities, students will experience fitness in a new way.

This project will give all students—regardless of skill level—an opportunity to move, explore, and develop healthy habits in a fun and supportive environment. Your support will help bring high-tech fitness learning to students who need it most. Thank you for making a difference in their education and well-being!
