I need to attend the Ron Clark Academy so I can learn from some of the best educators and spread the magic of learning within my classroom, school, and community!
My Kindergarten students are hard workers who love to learn each day. However, some students need a little extra motivation and different ways to stay engaged. When I create and maintain a fun, motivating environment, the most effective learning can flourish.
I strive to be highly effective in my teaching and implement new strategies each school year; my hope is for that drive and passion to carry over into my students' learning.
Our classroom already has many tools to learn, but it is my job as an educator to set the stage to engage. My goal is to instill a thirst for knowledge and ignite a passion for learning. The entire class benefits when lessons are highly engaging!
My Project
I am requesting funds to travel to Atlanta, Georgia and attend training at the infamous Ron Clark Academy.
As an educator, it is imperative to always strive for improvement, while bringing effective and engaging ideas to the classroom.
The Ron Clark Academy is known for providing students with fun, active learning opportunities while maintaining the structure and rigor that is needed to learn to the maximum potential.
I will take these strategies and techniques back to my classroom and my colleagues. My students deserve the best! This includes the most creative and exciting ways to promote student engagement and achievement! I believe that after attending this one day training and seeing it all firsthand, I will be able to reach my students at a whole new level! I CAN be the "wild card" that they need in their lives and in their education!
