My Students

Our Coastal Georgia school is a Title I high-poverty school, with over 70% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch.

Our classroom is filled with twenty-three brilliant third graders who love learning!

We always have fun and exciting things going on in our classroom. We strive to create a positive learning environment. It's important to keep students engaged and intrigued. Learning happens when students are engaged. The lessons in our classroom are designed to meet the needs and interests of all learners.

My Project

We have about 140 third grade students that go out to recess at the end of the day. This is their chance to be active and play with the other third grade students. We do not have many options for recess activities and games. We have playground equipment (slide and monkey bars), a few jump ropes, and wiffle ball and bat for the students to use at recess.

I would like to have a variety sporting equipment for all of third grade to use at recess.

This equipment will give students many options for physical activity. Students can play team sports with the pop-up soccer goal, soccer ball, basketball, and the baseball tee and bases. The jump ropes will be used for doing double dutch or jump rope races. The ball bag will be used to hold and transport all of the equipment. This equipment would be a great addition to our recess time to promote fitness and team building.
